A demo on a live system is the normal first step, well before any decision is made. The questions are the most important part of it.
Before anyone buys anything, we show the system live: usually an hour, remotely, with no commitment. We run it around what affects you. If your subject is KSeF, Poland's National e-Invoicing System, and documents your clients keep failing to send, you won't be watching the budgeting module.
The most important part of a demo is the questions, including the awkward ones. Will it cope with our invoices? How long will the implementation really take? What won't it do? We answer those on the spot, not after a contract is signed. After eleven years of implementations we rarely hear a question for the first time. Most of the clients we work with made their decision after exactly that kind of meeting.
After go-live we train on your account and your documents, not on a demo. In an accounting firm three people have three different problems with documents, and there is little sense in sitting them all through the same presentation.
We also run a short separate session for the firm's clients, if the firm wants to give them the portal. That one hour decides whether the portal gets used or ends up as an empty tab.
We leave you a short record of what we set up and why, plus a list of the things we left manual on purpose. The second list often matters more, because people get lost not in what the system does but in what it doesn't do.
Your first month-end close we go through together. That is when the questions come out that nobody asked during the training.
If the account isn't set up yet, it makes more sense to start with a demo and a conversation about the process than with full training, because there is nothing to practise on an empty account. That's not a no. It means you'll get more out of it in this order.
Let's arrange a demo: an hour, no commitment, on a live system. Just tell us how many people will be there and in what roles, so that we show you what really affects you.
